Zankokuna (残酷な Zankokuna) are the main monsters from the Rainbow Pretty Cure Trilogy. They are created when a villain merges an item with a ball of dark energy.

Zankokunas are bipedal and have a large black jewel on the top of its head. Their actual bodies take on an appearance related to the possessed object.
